Before Aplodex, I was offered a VP of AI Innovations role. I’d just left a more boutique firm where I served as Director of Technology Architecture and AI. Sole technology leader at CTO scope, maintaining the full tech stack across networking, cybersecurity, hardware, CRM, custodial, reporting, trading, AI, and communication. Standing between the old job and the new, I realized the impact I wanted, on the industry, not one firm at a time, wasn’t going to come from either seat.

Owning the whole stack gives you something narrower roles don’t. A view of where the wires actually connect, and where they should. Combine that with industry knowledge, a sense of how things ought to work, and a real read on the firm’s culture, and you start designing tools other people don’t think to build. At that firm it produced internal AI and agentic systems pushing right up to the edge of autonomy.

That’s the experience I’m bringing here. Not just a deck. Not just a roadmap. Someone who knows the part most builders miss. The people who build a thing are almost never the people who’ll use it. If you want adoption, real change management, not a kickoff slide, the firm has to be in the build with you. Their ideas, their workflow, their language, combined with the technical expertise. That’s what ships something the firm owns rather than tolerates. That’s where the ROI actually shows up.
